Copycat, copycat, is this fair?

Fair use guidelines are used to allow for certain parties to use copyrighted material for academic or entertainment purposes. To me, this subject is extremely boring, mundane, and exhaustive. However, it is extremely important to recognize and understand as it could save you money, time, and hassle. Fair use uses this symbol:

I had never heard of this symbol before, but it is instantly recognizable due to its format. I think that it is important to advocate for fair use because it allows allows for discussion without infringement. Whether it be used for education, satire, or entertainment, as long as the user isn't specifically making money off of the use of intellectual property then they are permitted.
