Have you ever wanted to express yourself through digital media in a way that fuses verbal communication and cinematic nuance?
I certainly haven't, but this is my next project so let's get started!
Digital Storytelling is defined as a digital or web based story that presents compelling or emotionally engaging content to be interpreted by the viewer. This could be a Youtube video with narration and video, or it could be a narrative computer game. Either way, the creator is able to share his or her story to the masses through the inter-webs.
I've been thinking about what I should do for my own storyboard. Perhaps I could tell a story about the significance of the beach, or tell a story of my travels in Europe. Actually I think that's a good idea. I just came up with that one on the spot. I have so many pictures and memories from that trip. I think I could tell the story of how I learned to be on my own in the world, far from everybody I knew, and how traveling can bring people together. Yeah, that sounds good. However, I still need to mull this over.
For as long as I can remember, stories have been a major part of my life. My dad's vivid bedtime stories would lull me to sleep time and time again. I would get lost in books and movies. Hopefully you can get lost in my story as well.
